Catator has in a recently completed study demonstrated the potential by catalytic methods to effectively reduce emissions of greenhouse gases and odorous compounds. The study was performed in connection to different biogas production plants and other processes related to biological systems such as composting and anaerobic digestion as well as wastewater processing. The results show that all organic emissions (methane, odor and H2S) can be reduced simultaneously with high efficiency.
Both demonstration units (MRO-500 and DEO-100) have been evaluated in collaboration with different partners in the project and for an extended period of time (>1000 hr) at different test sites. The performance was followed by total VOC analysis (FID equipment) and by odor tests on collected gasbags with an odor panel.
The report is published by SGC (Swedish Gas Center, report no 287) and can be down loaded as a pdf file directly from SGC (under publications) or feel free to contact us directly.
Catator has developed a number of different catalytic burners for various applications during the last three decades. The cooled burners can be operated with most type of fuels and cooled with various coolants such as water, oil, chemical flow, evaporation, etc. The cooled burners can be extremely compact with a simple and low cost design.
Established in 2004, eco-burner Ltd has revolutionized the chafing fuel industry by offering the ultimate solution to traditional gel and wick heat sources; the refillable Chafo burner. Catator supply the mesh based combustion catalyst to Eco-burner.
